We have the winners!
In honour of the library’s Writer in Residence Sharon Jennings,
the library has held a Writing Contest.
The contest was open to students
ages 8-18 and students were
encouraged to write on whatever
topic they desired. The library
received over 60 submissions and
Sharon Jennings, Writer in
Residence was the sole judge of
both categories; essays and
poetry. All schools in King
Township were invited to participate
and many did. The winners
are separated into junior and
senior divisions. The library is
overjoyed with the success of this
contest and would like to take the
opportunity to thank all of the
teachers, students and various
members of the community for
making this contest a resounding
success! One last thank you to
the Tapestry Magazine for so
generously consenting to publish
all the first place winners! Enjoy!
