It has been said that, “the older you get, the faster time flies” which has most definitely been the case in 2007, as we find ourselves facing the holiday season once again.

I am constantly surprised by the sheer number of quality events occurring in and around King. As such, I’d like to
thank Arts Society King (ASK) for compiling the events list and keeping it all straight. It is a lot of work, and therefore
truly appreciated.

Thank you to all of our contributors for their enthusiasm and diligence. The story is only as good as those who tell it,
and we appreciate the commitment from our writers to keep the message straight forward and interesting.

For over 30 years, I have participated in a holiday bake exchange with friends and colleagues. Initially it was the
convenience of the concept that appealed to me, but now it has become the best part of the holidays; spending time with
friends, rewarded with a variety of goodies to nibble on, with the promise to gather again next year. Does it get better?

This year, Tapestry has included a recipe exchange in our winter issue, with one recipe representing each village in
King. Why not make the recipe yourself and then compare it to the original. Stay for lunch, or pick up some take-out to compliment
your own holiday gatherings. But be careful, it could become a new tradition.

May the best of the holiday spirit touch each and every one you.
