Happy Holidays & Season’s Greetings from the King Township Public Library!

New Children’s Library Cards are here!

Come on into the library and pick up a new children’s library card! We have anxiously awaited its arrival and now it’s here just in time for the holiday break. Children and youth aged 0-13, will be able to receive their card at each of the four King Township libraries, King City, Nobleton, Schomberg and Ansnorveldt.

Imagine the joy of having your very first library card! Your child will be
introduced to the many different worlds and wonders that come with the borrowing of books. It will give children the independence to choose their own stories and adventures and teach them about the magic of libraries. Children undoubtedly learn from their parents and
guardians. As a family you will be able to practice family literacy and encourage reading as a life long habit. Coming to the library on a regular basis with your children will not only create quality family time in a safe and welcoming environment, but will also teach your child the value of reading and learning.

Here are some suggested titles to read aloud with your children!
Ages 0-5
Go Away, Big Green Monster, by Ed Emberley
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, by Laura J. Numeroff
The Napping House by Audrey Wood
The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg
